OMG I won at mog bonanza!

I totally won the best prize that mog bonanza has ever offered me.

Inventory space +10.

The cool thing is that everyone who played mog bonanza has the potential to win this excellent prize.

How to win: Drop all 10 of your mog bonanza marbles. Inventory +10 yo!

In the words of the great Finsternis: "LOL TRICKED".

So, it's been a while since I've posted. I took maybe a 2-3 month break from teh game when my 360 crapped out and I was in school and too busy to play anyway. Here is what I'm up to, and what I think about some stuff.

Ninja: is 75 now, and I got Blade: Ku. Yay~ now i can move on with my life.

Puppetmaster: is complete. Merits and AF2. Yay~

Paladin: is chillin'. Wish I had some better gear but whatever.

Samurai: is 58. I'm not sure if I want to continue it or not.

Subjobs: are boring. Need RDM (at 30) and DRK (also at 30.)

Dynamis: takes too long to do and I have to work when my LS does it so i'm not sure if I will ever get back in to get any of the drops for my other jobs. I really wanted Valor Surcoat. :<

Einherjar: see Dynamis.

Crystaline Prophecy: looks stupid, but the bodies look hot. Not sure if I care that much, though.

Security Token: is looking like the only solution I have for a rapidly shrinking amount of inventory. Gobbiebag 9 and 10 cost around 1.3-1.4 million gil to complete both. Super Lame.

Blogging: is not really as rewarding as I thought it would be, but maybe this new format will keep me entertained.

Pay $$$ for inventory space?

I haven't played FFXI in like a month or so but I have been keeping up with the news. The below kind of pisses me off. Doesn't this just seem like a subversive way to make money off the player's need for more inventory space? For ten bucks you get the security token and expanded inventory... I can imagine needing the inventory space but the token? They might as well just sell the inventory space strait up. >>; blugh.

"The Mog Satchel is a new form of storage accessible from anywhere on Vana'diel that allows players to freely interchange items with their standard inventory. It has the same storage capacity as the player's gobbiebag, and is expandable to a maximum of 80 slots through the completion of certain quests.

Players may view the contents of their Mog Satchel via the abovementioned "Mog Satchel" submenu or the "/satchel" text command, and move items between it and their standard inventory as desired. Note that it is not possible to equip or use items directly from one's Mog Satchel, or sell them via bazaars.

*The Mog Satchel feature is available only to players who possess a registered Square Enix security token, and have linked their PlayOnline accounts to a Square Enix account."

Dead Xbox = no more FFXI

My Xbox 360 appears to be dead and I am too poor to replace it. Without a PC copy of the game (or even sufficient HD space on my laptop..) it looks like I may not be playing FFXI for a long time. Not sure what else to say. I'll miss the people I played with more than the game itself... I guess I'll update again when I get back into it or something.

Wow.. Drops!

(Haha you thought this was a post about WoW, but it is not. I was using the WORD "wow" as an exclamation of surprise. That game is for purple fairies with over-sized hands and feet.)

It's been a while since I've posted. This semester I'm busy with a lot of new things IRL which doesn't give me the time to really post or even play FFXI. But, today I'm making a little time to catch things up a bit.

A few weeks ago my LS fought and defeated Odin for the very first time. It was a cool fight and actually went very smoothly. IMO "Chair Guy" as we lovingly refer to him, is a lot harder. One of our PLDs walked away with the Valhalla helm which we are all very proud of but also insanely jealous of. Clannagh! I saw the gestures your helmet just made at me! I personally walked away with a Phantasmal Abj. Legs, which I'll have to find a crafter for soon...

Yesterday! We did a Dynamis-Qufim run and as I lay dead from a too large pull, I mused that it would be funny if Pantin Dastanas dropped while I lay dead and unable to lot on them. Ofcourse, they dropped a few seconds later, so I yelled for an R1 and got my butt up off the ground quickly enough to lot them. SO MUCH JOY! I have coveted them hands for a long time and to finally have them is awesome. This puts me at 5/6.. C'mon Pantin Babouches..

OMG SE B& U 4 HAXXORZ

lol.

I keep seeing a lot of posts about this issue. I haven't read them. I think my friend Walrus posted something like this is stupid and SE doesnt care so STFU. I kind of have to agree.

But, I have to add my two cents as well. We all sign a legally binding contract when we sign up for this game. It should be expected for SE to hold people responsible for what is essentially a violation of that conhtract. Let's get over it and move on kthnxbye.

09 Plans Post

Well 2008 has come and gone. For me it was a year with a lot of changes. I moved from Odin back to my home server Cerberus, then back to Odin, and finally back to Cerberus again. I made a lot of new friends and I reconnected with some really good old ones. IRL I made a big transition moving from home to ETSU and made lots of new friends there as well.

There were a few things that I wanted to get done this year that I didn't have time for, like CoPs, but I completed PLD and accomplished many other things I didn't expect to get done for a while, so I feel overall that I have been pretty fortunate.

Anyway, here is a short list of what I plan to do this year for my own records:

- Finish PUP AF2 (4/6 Currently - This will "finish" pup for me other than things like +1s and a few novelty gears....INDRA KATARS ASDSGASDDGWEDASDGGdfd)
- Finish CoP Missions (On Sacrarium ATM)
-Gain SEA Access
- Beat ToAU 44 (Damn you, Alexander!)
- Obtain some PLD bling so that I can start standing out a little more as a PLD. Maybe Organics? Or the Shadow Breastplate...or Koenig Helm?
- Level SAM to 75 +merits (Lv. 51? Currently)
- Level NIN to 75 +merits (Lv. 65 Currently)
- At least finish leveling certain worthy support jobs to 37 like BLU and RDM or DRK, etc.
- Tank the Shadow Lord again and this time see my LS defeat him
- Fight and/or Tank Odin and see my LS defeat him
- See at least one of our lowbies in the PartsMadeInJapan shell take a job to 75. Hamnbeans! Kyobi! New guy who's character name I forgot! You kids are lazy! Stop wasting your youth on things like jobs and school work! GET TO 75 ALREADY!!

Even though this may seem like a lot of stuff do to, I actually want to scale down how much time I spend playing XI. The fact is that my true goal is to eliminate the need for activities in XI that are time consuming or that impede my progress in other areas. So if you know me you can expect that when I'm on it's probably going to be for a specific purpose rather than to just kill time. There may still be times when I log in with no specific plans in mind, but I want to get to a point where all I do is log in for my events and do them, then log out.

Things like leveling honestly bore me to death now, and even with all the new changes it just requires too much time to do when I would rather be on to do some kind of event, or be out with my friends and it's a problem that even though SE has done things to speed up the process of gaining EXP, the process of gaining skillups for weapons remains just as slow as ever. Maybe something like a static EXP party would be more to my liking, but it's hard enough for people to line their schedules up for events and missions.

This decision is due to a realization that time is valuable and I can't afford to let a game absorb so much of it. I am at this moment making this post from the home of a lady friend who I like very much, and I know that a relationship won't last if I blow her off to play in a fantasy land. My real life is starting to take off and I want to focus the people who are important to me and on getting ready to launch my career. So let's hope that by 2010 my only goal for 2011 will be "Play XI on event nights".
